Energy Market Reform Bulletin No. 24 - Energy Consumers Australia - Implementation Plan Synopsis
Publication date: Friday, 14th March 2014.
On 13 December 2013, the former Standing Council on Energy and Resources agreed to an Implementation Plan outlining the process to establish a national energy consumer advocacy body. The establishment of the body, Energy Consumers Australia (ECA), was an important step towards increasing consumer advocacy on national energy market matters of strategic importance and material consequence for energy consumers, in particular, residential and small business consumers.
Released on 14 March 2014, Energy Market Reform Bulletin No. 24 provided stakeholders with a synopsis of the Implementation Plan and outlined the necessary tasks for officials to undertake prior to ECA's establishment as a company limited by guarantee.
