Energy Market Reform Bulletin No. 27 - Energy Consumers Australia - Legislative Amendments Package

Publication date: Thursday, 21st August 2014.

On 13 December 2013, the COAG Energy Council (formerly the Standing Council on Energy and Resources) agreed to establish a national energy consumer advocacy body, Energy Consumers Australia (ECA). Part of the implementation process was the development of the necessary legislative amendments to facilitate ECA's permanent funding mechanism and repeal the Consumer Advocacy Panel's functions which were to be transferred to ECA upon its establishment.

As part of this process officials undertook public consultation on the legislative amendments package. Released on 21 August 2014, Energy Market Reform Bulletin No. 27 sought written submissions from stakeholders on the package.

All stakeholder submissions received in response to this consultation process are available below, excluding where stakeholders clearly indicated that a submission should remain confidential, either in whole or in part.
